Ibrahim Guyo’s ambitious bid to become the next governor of Isiolo county backed by Borana elders

Nairobi County Assembly Majority leader Abdi Ibrahim Guyo’s ambitious bid to become the next governor of Isiolo county has received a major boost, following a decision by a section of Borana elders and community members from the populous Karayu clan to back him for the county’s top seat. Led by Dika Godana and Haro Chachu, who are members of the Borana council of elders, the elders noted that they were impressed by Guyo’s progress in Nairobi politics where he has been elected and served for three consecutive terms, even rising to the position of majority leader in the city-county assembly.
