Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday unveiled the 108-feet-tall statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda in Bengaluru. However, the unveiling has erupted a huge controversy in the state with political parties blaming the Central government for misusing the funds and resources. It has also been alleged that the step was taken to woo the trust of voters ahead of the Karnataka assembly elections.
