The U.S. plays defensive after infuriating India over F-16 assistance to Pakistan. The United States has issued a clarification as Joe Biden meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the G-20 summit. The U.S. State Department spokesperson Zed Tarar said the $450 million in F-16 assistance for Islamabad is “not monetary help.” In September, the Joe Biden administration approved the F-16 package for Pakistan, reversing an existing ban imposed in 2018 to do so.
